Appointment Scheduler/Registrar

Job duties:
Enter patient demographics, registration, insurance verification, and acquisition of referrals. Schedules radiology and ultrasound appointments. Mails new patient information and confirms new patient appointment. Reschedules appointments where there are changes to providers schedule. Assist with patient check-in and out as needed. Greets patients and visitors.

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in fast pace medical office
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Spanish preferred but not necessary
  • Manage and prioritize
  • Calmly and professionally deal with diverse population
  • Works independently with minimal supervision
  • Customer service oriented
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Minimum 1 year experience

 

Medical Receptionist/Surgery Scheduler (FT)

Position summary:

This position is responsible for greeting, scheduling and directing patients. Liaison between the patients and medical support staff, ensuring needs are communicated and met with a high priority on service and quality care.

***High patient volume physician and will require some overtime***

Core duties:

  • Greets patients in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Ensures patients are checked in
  • Receives and manages incoming telephone calls
  • Gathers insurance information. Updates insurance changes and patient demographics at every visit
  • Collects co-payment at time of visit
  • Schedules various appointments with correct department and completes necessary forms
  • Coordinates surgery scheduling and obtains benefits authorization
  • Interaction with billing department

Qualifications:

  • Computer familiarity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
  • Customer service oriented
  • Minimum 2 year experience

Education:

  • High school or equivalent

  • Spanish (preferred but not necessary)

 

Radiologic Technologist (FT, PT, or  Per Diem)

Position summary:

Obtaining quality radiographs by operating X-Ray, fluoroscopy, bone densitometry and CT equipment.

Core duties:

  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment (ALARA).
  • Positions patient and equipment to obtain fluoroscopic images.
  • Perform venipuncture for IV contrast studies.
  • Preparing, identifying, and/or administering contrast media and/or medications as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner where state statue(s) and/or institutional policy permit.
  • Observing universal precautions.
  • Obtains and verifies patient information for procedure. Uses appropriate technical factors when performing procedures.
  • Instructs patients regarding contrast considerations and examination preparation prior to imaging procedure.
  • Demonstrates understanding of and continued competency in the functions and operations of equipment, accessories, treatment, and imaging methods and protocols.
  • Interacts on an as needed basis with physicians.

Certification/Education:

  • Previous experience in healthcare environment
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program
  • Required CRT
  • Required CRT fluoroscopy license
  • Required Venipuncture
  • Preferred ARRT and BLS
  • Preferred ESWL experience

Ultrasound Technician/Sonographer - FT, PT or Per Diem

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 year of college level education or equivalent experience in health care field
  • Completion of an approved training program Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Preferred registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonograhers in the specialty areas of Abdomen, and/or Obstetrics/Gynecology
  • BLS
  • Must demonstrate competency and perform specialty routinely
  • Ability to operate Diagnostic Ultrasound equipment and perform related techincal procedures
  • Highly effective interpersonal and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Registered in specialty areas of Abdomen, and/or Obstetrics/Gynocology preferred

 

Operating Room RN -(FT, PT, or Per Diem)

Position Summary:

  • Assists in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
  • Assists in overseeing patient care activities in the operating room and maintains a high standard of safety for the patient and other staff members. 
  • Hours of operation -  Monday through Friday 7am to 3:30pm.

Requirements:

  • Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current California RN license, BCLS and ACLS required, and PALS preferred. Two (2) years experience as an operating room nurse Preferred. IV skills preferred.
  • Eligibility: All employees must be able to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States.

Pre-op/Recovery Nurse  -(FT, PT, or Per Diem)

Position summary:

  • Performs the daily clinical operations of the pre-op/PACU in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
  • Participates in direct patient care including maintaining a clean, orderly and safe environment.

Required experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience: ED, ICU, or Recovery at acute care hospitals
  • CA RN licenses required. BLS, ACLS required, and PALS preferred

 

Surgical Tech (FT, PT, or Per Diem)

Position summary:

  • Assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards and center policies and procedures.
  • Assists the nurses and physicians in delivering the highest standard of patient care available.

Required experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience: Urology/GYN Surgeries or hospital operating room
  • Certified Surgical Tech preferred
